How To Setup A Maplestory Private Server

Required Materials:

• MySQL
• MySQL Tools [Or A MySQL Query Browser of Some Sort]
• ZalaMS Repack Or Any Other Repack You Want. [I have included ZalaMS and OdinMS]
• Local Host Client [Included a possible NoDC One, haven't tested it myself.]
• Hamachi
• HexEditor of some sort.

Installing Java:

First Install Java JRE
Next install JDK
Next copy the 2 JCE files located in Desktop\odimms complete\Java files\JCE\
into all of the following directories, overwrite if the file exist.

C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\security

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib\security

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib\security

Setting up MySQL

Install it. Then Run the Configuration.

Configuration




Select Standard Configuration then Click Next.



Check The Check Box on Include Bin, then click next.



Fill In Your own password that you want. And Remember this password for later.



Once that is done click execute, if it successfully enables it will give you a message stating MySQL was installed correctly.



Install MySQL GUI:
Select Complete.



Enter:
Stored Connection: 127.0.0.1
Server Host: localhost Port: 3306
Username: root
Password: ms <-If you choose a different password other than ms, you need to edit the db.properties file and change the password to the one you entered here, how is located on page father down under editing the .properties files.
Default Schema: odinms
This schema does not exist create it, YES






Once The MySQL is completely Loaded, right click odinms, and click refresh.
Then it should load up A Long list of things. Your Set, your Server is ready for local host only.

Depending on which Repack you did determines how you start the server.
ZalaMS: Just double click Starter, and type Start and press enter.
OdinMS: Just Double Click start server.bat and it will go.

Files To Edit For The Server To Run Off Hamachi:

db.properties
channel.properties
login.properties
world.properties

DB Properties

url=jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/odinms
# credentials for database access
user = root
password = Your Password

Channel Properties

# hostname or IP address of your world server
net.sf.odinms.world.host=Your IP From Hamachi

Login Properties

# hostname or IP address of your world server
net.sf.odinms.world.host=Your IP From Hamachi

World Properties

# defaults for channelservers
net.sf.odinms.channel.net.port=7575
net.sf.odinms.channel.net.interface=Your IP From Hamachi

Once That Is Done Run Your Server And Your Good To Go.

Hex Editing Local Host






Change the IP 127.0.0.1 to the IP of your Hamachi.

You Are Done, Distribute your Client to your friends and your good to go. You have to add your friends manually. Until You Setup a Auto Register.

But I am to lazy to describe how to do that one currently, so I will leave that one up to you guys.





Adding Accounts Just copy the template of the admin account but leave loginsalt alone, and to get the correct password go to: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register] and insert the password you want encrypted to Sha1, then copy the pw it gives you and paste it into the password field. You should be good to go.

Another Thing. If You Don't want to run your server from hamachi register for an account at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register] and just do what it says, DL the little client it has, and then edit your channel, world, and login pages again with the name of your server deal you set. IE: thisgame.servegame.com and replace your hamachi ip with that. Then you have to rehex edit your client, you have to use a clean client or else it wont work, and for the IP put in the IP that your No-IP is showing on the program it gave you, then send that to your friends, then you no longer need Hamachi.

problems : i cant login to my own server..
fixed : all the files were uninstalled [not partial delete] and installed again

questions : yes im not a noob.. i did run off ragnarok for freaking 2yrs and i cant get maple to work so like wtf..

If you are having issues logging in, make sure your DBs are setup correctly, and everything. I had issues when I reset up my server, before my server tanked itself, and I just deleted the database and installed from a dump that I had sent to Dandy and it worked just fine.
