how to get past the detection problem introduced at 5/5/09

Well dont worry you wont get banned or anything its just a old security type from blizzard against wowme, which fails big time and prolly will get deleted soon. because shitload of people will have problems with it even without wowme. Blizzard cant send error reports from your pc to them because that would go against there legal rights.

Anyway how to fix wowme now.

(back them up first) Delete the following files inside your wow main directory:
-scan.dll
-scan.dll.new

If you start wow up again throught wowme, there is a possibility that you need to delete those files again. Specially if you forgot to delete scan.dll.new.

If you did that restart wow throught wowme.exe and it works perfectly fine

For the people that are sick and tired to remove those 2 darn .dll's every time they wanna start playing wow. I made a simple batch file that does all the work for you.

How to create the file:

Make a new .txt file and put the following lines in it:

@echo off

del "D:\World of Warcraft\Scan.dll"

del "D:\World of Warcraft\Scan.dll.new"

Call "D:\World of Warcraft\WoWMe.exe"
________________________________________________

change the path d:\world of warcraft to your own wow location ( this is mine )

After you putted these lines save the file as with the following name inside your wow dir:

WoWMe.bat ( make sure you put .bat behind it )

Once you did that, make a shortcut from the WoWMe.bat to your desktop.

now you only need to press wowme.bat shortcut and everything works like normal again. HF
